THE SORORITY

…. a community to help women in danger

Founded in March 2021,THE SORORITY FOUNDATION is an association under the 1901 law recognized as being of general interest whose purpose is to fight against domestic violence, intra-family violence, harassment and more generally against all forms of violence faced by women and people from gender minorities. The association also registers its action in the fight for gender equality, for safety, for respect and for the development of all.

THE SORORITY FOUNDATION leads 2 initiatives worldwide: the community and its application THE SORORITY and the SAVE YOU platform.
The platform is available in 13 languages, all over the world, and is, for the moment, only reserved for women and people from gender minorities.

Accessible Free and Anywhere in the World :

THE SORORITY is a secure application for mutual aid, with over 80 000 users, initially dedicated to women and individuals from gender minorities to support each other and effectively act against all forms of violence (harassment, isolation, discrimination and domestic violence).

In case of danger, no matter where ou are (in the streets, in public transportation, at the office, during a party, at home, or while traveling) at any time : you can launch the alert to ask for help.

You are never alone. According to statistics, the alarm transmitter is contacted within a minute by an average of ten to fifteen users, who can alert the police, even indicate a safe place suggested by the application so that she can take refuge there while the threat passes. They can also reach out to the woman who feels in danger and help her get out of this complicated situation.

Anyone can find a caring listener, assistance, support, or a safe place to escape danger at any time. The application THE SORORITY is free and available worldwide in 13 languages, but only women can register. In 2024, it will also be able to help men who are victims of violence and allow those who wish to help to intervene. The two communities of women and men will not be directly connected, but will be able to help each other if they wish.

Recently, The Sorority Foundation and France Victimes signed a partnership agreement. This agreement aims to strengthen the complementarity between the two structures for better support for victims, by facilitating the referral of victims seeking support to victim support associations, by adding the contact details of the 130 associations in the France Victimes network to the Sorority application map. Mémo de Vie will also be integrated into the application as a support tool available to victims.
