Equality correspondents at IRAP

As part of the action undertaken by the CNRS to promote professional equality, an equality seminar was organized by the Occitanie West delegation (formerly DR14) in May 2017. The establishment of a network of equality correspondents in the laboratories is one of the actions identified by the working groups of this seminar. We are confident that this network will have a positive impact on our community. Equality in laboratories, is a subject that concerns both men and women, a collective awareness essential at the CNRS level but also in our laboratories.

The IRAP has 4 equality correspondents: Sylvie Brau-Nogué, Rémi Delpech, Geneviève Soucail et Natalie Webb.

For the exercise of their mission, the director authorizes them to release the necessary time. These people are there to listen, help and inform. They are committed to a duty of discretion with regard to any information they become aware of, and are not intended to substitute for the competent Human Resources departments of DR14.

Their mission: to be an interlocutor, a proximity interlocutor for each and every member of the laboratory on all equality issues.  As part of this mission, they will be responsible in particular for :

  • Awareness of the issue of professional equality
  • Promote and disseminate the elements of the regional action plan
  • Feedback to management any difficulties in applying the measures and/or actions
  • Guide and put in touch with the right interlocutor, the agents who encounter a difficulty.
  • Transmit complex cases or direct people in complex situations to the equality correspondent of the Regional Delegation.

Their training: a mandatory initial training, then annual continuing education sessions.

Contact them: an egalite[at]irap.omp.eu address has been created for this need, but you can also specifically address one of them. You will find their contact in the laboratory directory.
