The objective of the proposed thesis is to study {identify, characterize, interpret) the secondary phases resulting from the alteration of the minerals constituting the Martian crust, which will be detected in the rocks and sediments of the Jezero crater {clays, carbonates, sulphates, iron oxides, manganese, phosphates, etc.), in order to constrain the environment in which they were formed , and to detect possible variations of this environment. This study will be able to enlighten the choice of samples to be taken.
