Sébastien Deheuvels wins the SF2A 2019 Young Researcher Award

Since 2012, Sébastien Deheuvels has been a lecturer at the University Paul Sabatier of Toulouse, France, and conducts his research at the IRAP/Observatoire Midi-Pyrénées. He is a specialist in internal structure and stellar evolution. To carry out his work, he uses asteroseismology to probe the properties of convective cores and study the internal rotation of stars. He is a brilliant theorist teacher-researcher whose main results, including the first detection of mixed modes in sub-giant stars or the measurement of the rotation of the core of certain evolved stars, have a strong impact on his community. He is also involved in various space missions such as CoRot, Kepler, TESS or PLATO. Finally, SF2A highlighted its investment in the University and its contribution to the development of innovative pedagogical practices.
