Bayesian analyses of galaxy surveys
Imperial College, Londres
Surveys of the cosmic large-scale structure carry opportunities for building and testing cosmological theories about the origin and evolution of the Universe. Advancing the research frontier requires solving challenging and unique statistical problems, to unlock the information content of massive and complex data streams. In this talk, I will present the outcomes of recent methodological advances: the reconstruction of our cosmic history, and the estimation of physical parameters using "black-box" simulators. I will then turn to the future and highlight some challenges and opportunities for the next generation of galaxy surveys.
