VLBI radio-astrometry to Young Stars: IRAS 16293-2422 and the LkH\alpha 101 cluster

Distance is the most basic parameter in Astronomy. This parameter is, however, poorly determined for many very young stars that still deeply embedded in their parental clouds. This is the case for IRAS 16293-2422 and LkH\alpha 101, two very well studied young stars. In this talk, I will present a series of high angular resolution observations, made with the Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) technique, used to constrain the distances to these objects. I will compare our results with other previously reported and show how we have improved the uncertainties by at least a factor of two.
